Women of ECC

ECC is all about building relationships and transforming spiritual hunger into devotion to God. Women’s Ministries is no exception.  No matter where you find yourself in life, God desires to know you, grow you and to transform your life.  ECC Women’s is passionate about helping you reach that goal.  We have designed environments for you that will cultivate your own spiritual transformation through events such as weekly Bible studies, Annual Women’s Retreat, One to One Mentoring, service projects, special events and much more.  There is no better place to build relationships than in our thriving community of Women of all ages and seasons of life.

Senior Adult Ministry

Our Senior Adult Ministry meets on a monthly basis for lunch and fellowship in the North Auditorium of our Olympia Campus. We have an annual picnic in the summer and a Christmas Banquet in the winter.

Alpha

September 13-November 15
Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm
Jalee Rice : jalee@ecconline.cc

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.  No pressure. No follow up. No charge.

Alpha runs in churches, bars, coffee shops, and homes all over the world.  Alpha has ten sessions and includes food, a short talk and time at the end where you can share your thoughts.

Alpha is also a safe place to ask any question.  Really.  Any question.  Dinner and childcare are provided.

We start with food!

Whether it’s a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch-up over coffee and cake, food has a way of bringing people together. It’s no different at Alpha. We start with food, because it’s a great way to encourage community and get to know each other.

then there's a talk

The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Generally thirty minutes long, they can be given as a live talk or played as a video. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith?

Followed by a discussion

Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

What is Compelled to Care?

Our Purpose is to serve local foster and adoptive families. We want to pray with them, encourage them, help with homework, or just be a listening ear. Every family has different needs and we want to make sure that the church body is aware of the needs of the individual foster and adoptive families in our community, whatever they may be. We need you on the Compelled to Care ministry team!  E-mail compelledtocare@ecconline.cc for more information.

We understand not everyone is able to be a Foster Parent, but each one of us can make a difference in a foster child's life. There are so many ways for you to help our adoptive, foster, and orphaned children and families.

Come to our monthly connect group dinner on June 9th! RSVP by clicking here.

Kids Ministry

(Birth-5th Grade)

Babies - 2 years (Early Childhood)

In both the nursery and the one-year toddler room we focus on nurturing children through music, play, and loving interaction.

In the two-year old class we introduce basic biblical truths through bible stories, worship, and craft activities while still allowing time for play and loving interaction.

“I love when children are happy and especially love when the children sing bible songs and learn their bible verse.”

Sylvia LeRiche (Early Childhood Coordinator)

3 years - Kindergarten (Preschool)

In the three, four, and five year old classes, the focus is to continue building the foundation of basic biblical truths through bible stories, worship, and craft activities while still allowing time for play and loving interaction.

In the Kindergarten class, they experience kids’ church on a slightly larger scale as they spend part of their time in “The Lodge” (environment for 1st-3rd graders). They will enjoy bible story and worship time with older kids, and then spend the remainder of their time in The Loft (kindergarten class) participating in discussions and activities, while still allowing time for play and loving interaction.

“My favorite thing is hearing preschoolers learning and laughing in the classrooms, and knowing they are hearing life changing messages from the Bible.”

Chrissy Najarro (Preschool Coordinator)

1st - 3rd Grade (The Lodge)

The Lodge is an environment where children are taught and challenged to expand biblical knowledge into life application.  The focus is to create opportunities for children to experience “God moments”, build faithful friendships, and learn spiritual disciplines through interactive worship, bible stories, and “small group” activities with children of similar ages.  All of this is accomplished while still allowing time for play and loving interaction.

“One of my favorite parts of ministry is seeing a parent’s reaction to their child’s biblical knowledge growing either through them remembering a bible story, memory verse, or even hearing about them singing one of our worship songs in the car on the way home.”

Noah Naipo (Children’s Pastor)

4th - 5th Grade (The Bridge)

The Bridge is an environment where fourth and fifth grade students are taught and challenged to expand biblical knowledge at a more mature level.  We focus on helping the older elementary students prepare for transition into middle school and Evergreen Youth by providing live worship, bible stories, and biblical discussions to encourage them to make their faith journey personal.  As with early elementary students (1st-3rd grade), we try to create opportunities for students to experience “God moments”, build faithful friendships, and learn spiritual disciplines.

“What I love about leading The Bridge is the opportunity to create relationships between the students and their families, as well as creating a comfortable environment for kids to experience God through worship, a lesson, or an activity.”

Caitlyn Griffin (The Bridge Coordinator)

SPECIAL NEEDS (THE COVE)

Evergreen Christian Community is proud to offer “all” families a place to experience and worship God in many different ways as part of our vision to change the world through more and better followers of Jesus.

In that, we want to personally invite any families to come and try out our Special Needs classroom, The Cove.  Our heart is that parents with a special needs student could come to church and have a safe, engaging, and comfortable environment that they feel confident leaving their child at, while they attend one of our adult gatherings.

The Cove is staffed with a mix of paid personnel and volunteers that all have a heart to serve and create the best experience possible for all special needs students and their families.
