Let The Pursuit Begin!
The Pursuit embarks us on a journey together: 40 days/40 biblical truths.
These Truths are foundational to our lifelong pursuit of knowing God, and living our life on mission with Him.

A NOTE FROM Pastor Jim Ladd
“You have formed us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You.” - St. Augustine
It is my dream and delight to help people find and follow Jesus. My hope is that your journey through The Pursuit will help you to do exactly that. During this 40-day discussion, my goal is for you to learn 40 Biblical Truths, memorize eight verses of Scripture, and have eight faith-shaping conversations. These Truths are foundational to your lifelong pursuit of knowing God, experiencing His love, and living your life on mission with Him. Because our faith is continually being shaped by our relationships, these eight conversations will help you anchor your faith in Christ.
The 40 Truths we will explore together are the rich Biblical and theological tenets of the Christian faith, which we rarely have time on Sunday mornings to adequately investigate. The purpose of The Pursuit is not apologetics of Christian doctrine, and it is not made to explain why we believe, but rather to explore what we believe. Through this systematic view of Biblical Christian faith, I believe you will move forward in knowing and walking with God, understanding His ways, and seeing your place in His eternal story.
THANK YOU to my son, Jonathan Ladd, who helped me write and edit The Pursuit. What an honor it was to work with him on this project.
I humbly ask that you make a few commitments as you begin:
Aim for doing the daily work five days a week for the whole eight weeks.
Do not take this journey alone! Meet weekly to do the eight conversations with a friend, with another couple if you’re married, or with a group of friends.
Try and have the group discussions for every one of the eight weeks, but don’t settle for less than six. If you miss one or two, still do the daily work on those weeks so that your personal journey can continue to make progress.
Make an extraordinary commitment to this two-month season of your life.
