3...2...1...DETONATE!

I remember it well.  The stage was set and the anticipation was sad but awesome at the same time.  A monument of Seattle life was being demolished for the coming of something better.  That's right, 15 years ago, it was decided that the Kingdome of Seattle was going to be demolished for the eventual building of a new Mariners stadium (Safeco Field) and eventually Seahawks Stadium (Century Link Field).  If you are a Seattle sports fan by any measure, I'm pretty sure you would agree that, all though the Kindome will be missed, it was well worth the sacrifice to get rid of the "old" for the NEW.

Funny enough, life can be the same way.  There are certain things in life that are just better off removed for the creation or the beginning of something NEW.  The only problem is that most of us don't want to take the time to set the explosives, plan the clean up, and be patient enough for what is yet to come.   So what do we do?  We fall back into what's comfortable and accept the way things are.

- JEREMIAH 29:11 -

"FOR I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU,” DECLARES THE LORD, PLANS TO PROSPER YOU AND NOT TO HARM YOU, PLANS TO GIVE YOU HOPE AND A FUTURE."

Do you trust that?  Do you believe it?  Do you want to live it?  I hope so...

If you feel stagnant at all in your life, then I am sure you are missing out on something totally awesome that God wants you to experience.  BUT...I also have a feeling that you may need to demolish your "Kingdome."  You may need to figure out what it is that needs to be removed to make space for what is to come.  Maybe it's a relationship that is not healthy.  Maybe it's an addiction that you know you need to get help for.  Maybe it's the direction of your life that needs a drastic change.

Don't wait!  Find peace in God's promise to move you towards hope.  It won't be easy but (set the dynamite) make the hard decision to make a change.  Remember that it's going to take some serious prayer, support, determination, and faith to get through initial undertaking (Plan the clean-up).  Lastly, find peace in God's word to be steadfast while He helps transform your mind for whatever he has planned (Patience in what is to come).

Even if your "Kingdome" seems like something small, I pray that you will act in confidence that God will move on your behalf towards something truly joyful and worth bragging about.  Get it in your mind what it is...

GOT IT?  Alright, say it with me 3........2...........1............Detonate!   Trust that "The Best is Yet To come."
