What We Believe
Our Beliefs
Evergreen Christian Community is an Assemblies of God church. We affirm that the Bible is God-inspired and fully trustworthy, revealing the one true God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Humanity was created good but fell into sin, and salvation is available only through Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man—whose death and resurrection provide forgiveness and new life, received by repentance and faith. The Church is Christ’s body on mission to worship God, evangelize the world, build mature believers, and show compassion, empowered by the Holy Spirit through sanctification, spiritual gifts, and Spirit baptism. We also believe in divine healing, Christ’s soon return, the resurrection and rapture of believers, His millennial reign, a final judgment, and the ultimate hope of a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells.

We're going to change the world together!
The mission of Jesus has never been anything less than changing the entire world — a world the Father created, a world He dearly loves, and a world He will make anew again upon His return. The only question is how? We’ve asked this of ourselves several ways, but our favorite is, “If we did nothing else the next 20 years but these things, would we change the world and would Jesus be proud of us?” We’re excited to tell you we’ve answered this question. Below are the six initiatives that make up the foundation of our mission as a church.
